Shoko Ishikawa is a freelance photographer based in London.
Shoko is originally from Japan and has relocated to London in 1997 due to her much love of music and the arts.
She has shot extensively for magazines and record labels of musicians since 2000, artists include Oasis, Lily Allen, New Order, Prodigy, Muse, Travis etc.
Music and Vision are 2 important elements in her aesthetic, she wants to produce images which play music in viewer's mind. In 2006-7 she produced various artworks for James Blackshaw's EP and Albums in this approach.
She also pursues her conceptual projects where she tries to visualize her mind eyes' perspective.
The imagery world she portrays is not manipulated from reality in great deal but it often conveys nostalgic, dreamy and emotive feelings with its atmospheric quality.
