Marianne Bjornmyr, a Norwegian photographer just finished her BA (first degree) in Photography with Social Anthropology at Roehampton University, after spending three years in London.

The past year she has been working on various photography projects in Nepal, India, Northern Norway and Iceland, exploring varieties of cultures and environments. Recently she received a art grant from her hometown in Norway to finish her current project on space development and natural surroundings, which she carried out in the spacious surroundings on Iceland.

In her final year before graduating she had various exhibitions and talks in Norway and England, and was awarded the title ‘Emerging Artist of the Year’, 2009, at the Juvenarte Exhibition in Oslo with her documentary project and book ‘Merrasami Arbevierut’. In 2010 she was rewarded a ‘Judge’s Choice’ at the AOP Student Award for the same work.
