I spent nearly 3 years with Rankin working on a huge variety of shoots and then in 1999 I left to go freelance. The next few years saw me work for varied editorial clients as NME, Q, Mojo, Select, Sky, The Sunday Times, Car, Empire and Esquire and also shoot many music press sessions.
After graduating from University in the west of England in 1996 with photography degree I moved to London to assist Rankin. Back then he was an up and coming name and been running Dazed & Confused magazine with Jefferson Hack for a couple of years. It was an amazing experience for a 24 year old fresh from college to suddenly be traveling all over the world and meeting famous and exciting people and it cemented my desire to be a photographer in my own right.
I have been fortunate enough to travel, meet and photograph some of my heroes including a slightly baffled Brian Wilson, a wonderfully dour yet sweet John Peel, Primal Scream's main instigator Bobby Gillespie, polymath Brian Eno and king monkey himself ex Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown.
I have had my work exhibited in London, LA and New York and continue to shoot all over the world.
